Subjects such as dementia care, old age, teamwork, nutrition and safety precautions will be imparted and the student must complete a written exam once he finishes the CNA training classes. There are many such free CNA training classes, but those who wish to obtain the certification from the Red Cross, will have to join a paid course.
A successful completion of the CNA training classes will enable you to list your name in the state nursing registry and it can be availed at the federal database. You will be tested in groups and will be appearing for both written and skills based tests. The former test lasts roughly for about two hours in a multiple-choice format. The subjects covered will be record keeping, patient care and vital signs checking as well as other lab procedures and testing techniques.
