Timing Love-making to Choose the Sex of Your Baby

If you might be specifically wanting a boy or girl, the idea certainly doesn’t hurt to try some natural techniques.

In an effort to understand how the timing of when you’ve sex can impact the gender selection of your child you should look at two different things – first, how ovulation works and second, the way the differences in sperm affect this timing. Let’s look at ovulation first.

Each month, there is a window of fertility that is roughly five days long. Three days prior to ovulation to one day right after ovulation are the best times to conceive. Remember, the egg simply has 24 hours of viability, and that sperm can live for as much as five days in the reproductive tract. Each woman differs however, but this is the generally approved “window of fertility” that occurs every month.

If you are seeking to conceive a child, ensure that you are eating a healthy and nutritional diet which means that your body is receiving all the vitamins and nutrition it needs. Specific items, such as folic acid and folate, are vital for your baby’s development from day one of conception. Attempt to add a prenatal vitamin to your daily regime for an extra nutrition strengthen.

ANY sperm carrying the Y chromosome will cause a boy if it successfully fertilizes the egg. A sperm supplying the X chromosome can lead to a girl. There are several main distinctions in these sperm that are important to understand. The Y sperm are very small, but also extremely quick and agile. The main downside is that they really don’t live very long. The X sperm are bigger and far slower, but on the flip side, they live considerably longer.

Before aiming to become pregnant, make sure you make an appointment to experience a full check-up with your health practitioner. They are able to ensure that you are generally well enough to deal with the rigors of pregnancy as well as providing advice on what kinds of vitamins and foods you should be ingesting before conception is achieved.

To be able to have a boy, it is vital to permit the Y sperm the time they have to reach the egg as soon as possible. This means that you need to time sexual intercourse on the day that you ovulate. The Y sperm won’t live considerably longer than that 24 hour period that the egg is viable therefore you need to give them that opportunity to meet the egg before they expire.

In contrast, if you want to have a girl, you should time love-making to two to three days prior to ovulation. During this time period, the Y sperm will have died out, allowing the slower but stronger X sperm behind.

There are lots of other factors that can affect the gender selection of your child such as diet, and even the love-making position that you use, but timing this properly can help you naturally choose your child’s sex.
